S15 Magazine Gen 3 version with enlarged footplate which gives a total capacity of 20pcs.
Generation 3 features an improved magazine coating, a modified rear housing resulting in better magazine fit in the grip, and the familiar 3 inspection windows from earlier generations (5,10 and 15 cartridges).
Manufacturer recommends the use of a dedicated double-sided steel magazine release Standard S15 Mag Catch (the factory one is made of polymer and the metal magazine will cause it to wear quickly resulting in possible problems with ammunition feeding or slide work). The release is compatible with original Glock magazines - manufacturer does not recommend such a combination due to increased wear on the polymer magazine and the fact that magazines may not come out freely when changing the magazine. The golden rule of metal on metal, plastic on plastic.
Owners of 1st generation releases (made of aluminum) should also replace with a steel version if they wish to use S15 magazines.
