The barrel is firmly attached only to the cartridge chamber and therefore works together with the new Vinci inertia system.

Cryogenic treatment is no longer a privilege only for the aerospace industry. Benelli has used it on an industrial scale to optimize the results of ballistic barrels and chucks by reducing the sensitivity of materials to high temperatures created during the shot, thus eliminating barrel deformations. But what is the cryogenic machining 'Crio System' It is a process of gradual cooling of the material over 24 hours until it reaches a temperature below -150 ° C. It allows to eliminate residual stress inside the metal and improve its mechanical properties. In CrioBarrel steel, the expansion due to pressure and heat caused by friction have constant and limited values: this means that the barrel can tremble and expand continuously during firing. Forms obtained with the use of CrioBarrel steel are wider, more regular and uniform, evenly distributed both in the center and along the periphery, without deformation with the increasing number of shots fired.
