Reflex Sight, Manufacturer : Sig Sauer, Model : Romeo-X PRO, Standard : DeltaPoint Pro
Romeo-X is a new optic series which is a civilian variant of MIL-SPEC ROMEO-M17 optic, designed specifically for the M17 weapon used by the US military. After many years of experience in optics manufacturing, Sig Sauer has built a collimator with high durability, and wide functionality.
Romeo-X has 1 very important feature
It is equipped with an integrated rear sight that allows you to use the mechanical sights along with optic at the same time (full co-witness with standard height mechanical sights).
This solution is not dedicated to the entire family of P320 pistols, but to P320 with an integrated rear sight with a collimator slot cover :
- P320 M17
- P320 M18
- P320 X-FIVE
- P320 X-CARRY LEGION
This doesn't mean that this sight can't be installed on other Sig Sauer P320 series, however it doesn't make any sense at all. The X-series P320 pistols already have a separate rear sight from the collimator cover, so the Romeo-X is primarily dedicated to the above-mentioned units.
Circle Dot aiming point
This version is equipped with a Circle-Dot aiming poiint which consists of a 2MOA dot, and a 32MOA circle. The dot can be successfully used for aiming at further distances, while the circle will allow intuitive aiming at close range.
A range of Technologies in a tough design
MOTAC -Activated through motion sensing technology, MOTAC immediately powers up illumination when it senses motion and powers down when it does not in order to extend battery life.
D.A.R.C - (Dark Adaptive Reticles & Coatings) Specialized lens coatings and reticle brightness settings that are optimized for use with GEN 3+ night vision devices
ALT - Precision molded aspheric lens technology virtually eliminates aberration, reduces weight, and helps to focus the projected image through the lenses for superior low distortion optical performance.
SpectraCoat - Highly efficient, ultra-wide broadband, anti-reflection lens coatings reduce surface reflections to extremely low levels across the entire visible spectrum providing superior light transmission.
MAGNETAC - MAGNETAC (Magnetic Activation) A sensor in the optic detects a Neodymium magnet inside a compatible holster, to automatically turn the optic off when holstered, conserving battery life. When the weapon is drawn from the holster, the optic instantly turns on to the last setting used.
