Sig Sauer MCX despite its external resemblance it's not an another version or modification of AR-15. It is a completely new construction especially designed in order to deal with even the hardest challenges.
In Sig Sauer there is a construction based on a shorter and more progressive spring return actuator located on a lock frame. Thanks to such solution Sig Sauer MCX is equipped with a telescopic stock which is majorily diminishes its length. It is possible to shoot from this gun with a folded stock. Additonally stock has a regulated length.
Carbine is self-loading and unlocked by the energy of the gases guided through the side opening in the barrel, transmitted through a short stroke piston to the slide. Two short springs push the lock to take another cartridge. Thanks to this solution, the gases do not reach the internal elements of the weapon. The carbine has an easily accessible gas regulator at the front to adapt to different ammunition and use with a silencer.
Virtus carbine series is a better equipped MCX in which we can find for example, a double-trigger "SIG Matchlite Duo" with s quick and smooth rifle jump with a drag of 2-2.5 kg. Cold forged barrel of 1 in 7 scale has also a wider profile. Float is equipped with a M-lok sloth instead of Keymond in its basic version. MCX Virtus bolts are in a shape of a cone which provides longer longevity and reliability of a gun.
