Meprolight has become the first choice among uniformed services, and major weapons manufacturers. Their products were originally developed for the Israel Defense Forces and now are used by the military, law enforcement and civilians on six different continents.
TRU-VISION is the latest combat version of the rifle sight, which offer a compact design (73mm x 56mm x 68mm), that allows maximum free space on the weapon for mounting additional accessories. Worth noting is the fact that for a device of this class, it is really lightweight - 285 grams.
This device is mounted on any Picatinny rail placed from the top of the slide with the already proven QR system (Mil-STD 1913). This system allows for quick attachment / detachment the collimator, and in case of failure, to dismount the device and switch to mechanical sights.
In addition, the device offers a 25mm x 20mm anti-reflective display with a highly visible 2 MOA red aiming point.
Collimator is powered by a CR123 battery, which provides more effective operation at low temperatures compared to small CR2032 type collimator batteries - that are quickly draining the device in such conditions. The battery is located on the right side of the device, which allows for easy replacement without having to disassemble the sight.
Another new feature that Meprolight has introduced is a system that adjusts the brightness of the dot according to different lighting conditions. The device is equipped with a light sensor, which affects the automatic setting of the dot's intensity and switches between 12 daytime and 4 nighttime modes depending on ambient light conditions.
The collimator is adjusted vertically with a screw on the rear side and horizontally with a screw on the right side. 1 click matches a 1/2 minute angle (0.5 MOA), which is the shift of the aiming point by 1.45 cm at a distance of 100 m.
