5.11 Tactical is a brand of outdoor clothing and tactical equipment. This American manufacturer took its name from the difficulty scale used in rock climbing - 5.11 which was once the most difficult level.

The company's history dates back to the 1960s, when the climber Royal Robbins noticed that the trousers he was wearing were not suitable for climbing and decided to design something more durable and more functional.

This is how the first 5.11 pants were made. The company gained more publicity in 1992, when 5.11 pants were adopted as a basic element of clothing at the FBI academy.
