The laser pointer is mounted on the accessory rail, and it goes under the trigger guard all the way to the grip where the sensor is located.

Lasermax's patented GripSense technology automatically activates the laser when the user places hand on the grip.

There is a manual laser on/off switch at the height of the straightened index finger. This option is useful if the user does not want the laser to turn on every time the weapon is drawn.
